This is a very appealing opportunity to support DOT's Volpe Center that will serve all of Volpe, DOT, Federal agencies and state, locals and other agencies.
 
The objective of the Mission Information Technology Support Services (MITS) is to provide MITS services to a variety of Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) projects that cut across all modes of transportation for DOT and non-DOT organizations, including other federal agencies, foreign, state, and local governments, and private organizations. The MITS support services include the following task areas: (1) Technology Assessments and Modernization; (2) System Analysis, Development, Deployment, Field Support, and Analytical Research Analysis; (3) System Architectures and Framework; and (4) Lab Facility and Operations Support.
The U.S. DOT Volpe Center objectively addresses the most complex transportation challenges facing transportation and the nation, with specific emphasis on safety, security, environment, energy, mobility, global competitiveness, and innovation. Our extensive cross-modal partnerships have led to innovative solutions that advance national and global transportation systems.
Volpe works to anticipate emerging transportation issues and objectively address the nation’s most pressing and complex transportation challenges, particularly those that can be solved with an intermodal, systems perspective.
